We are holding a launch event for my new book IT’S A DOG’S JOB (BUT SOMEONE’S GOT TO DO IT) on Sunday 1 June 2014, 10.30am-12.30pm. The launch is being held in partnership with Assistance Dogs Australia (‘ADA’), who provide freedom and independence to people with physical disabilities.
ADA is a national charity that trains Labradors and Golden Retrievers to perform everyday tasks for people with disabilities. Assistance dogs increase independence, reduce reliance on human caregivers and act as a great icebreaker helping overcome social isolation.
I will be donating $2 from every copy of my book sold to Assistance Dogs Australia. The launch event is a great opportunity for us to promote their work and to connect with a natural audience of potential owners – dog loving clients and consultants!
Please join my two- and four-legged friends and me at the launch. It’s an opportunity to introduce your faithful hound (if you have one) to some of the most intelligent dogs in the country, to share your hair-raising consulting stories with other clients and consultants, and to support the amazing work of assistance dogs.
The formal proceedings will feature a respected client who will launch my book, after which I will share a little about where the book has come from and what people can expect in the story. We will then invite an ADA Ambassador to share their story of how their life has been transformed through their partnership with an ADA-trained dog.
